Unlazy Day/Lazy Day

 One of my favorite weekends of the year: Unlazy Day/Lazy Day!

Everyone worked really hard all day to make their living spaces so pristine. We also cleaned the fan blades and whoa, it was filthy. I like Unlazy Day way too much, it is so much cleaner and organized. Then we paused festivities for even more festivities in celebrating David and enjoying another evening with Seth and Neena. Then Lazy day began with movies and writing and reading and switching and not working at all (unless you want to). The movies we watched were to finish our movie club, which I write about here.

Instead of a Book Club this summer, we did a Movie Club as the older kids decided to do their own Book Club with friends and that would be a lot of reading for busy young adults. Anyway, it was a lot of fun. The movies we chose were mostly movies we feel like we hadn't seen as a family and there are some real bangers. Our picks:

Rob: What's Up Doc

Emily: Strictly Ballroom

Marri: Monster's Inc

Sophie: Run Lola Run

Cecily: Strange Brew

Scott: 12 Angry Men

Jennetta: Look Back

All of them were older than 2001 except for Look Back, which came out this year (and is amazing!) I loved them all except for Strange Brew, because even though it's a Hamlet retelling, it is just too silly. Everything else is like 10/10 and we loved talking about them together.
