Carnival and Candy walks

Jetta was delighted to receive a package in the mail early Monday morning:

Lip gloss from Jake and Kim!

Then jumping through the week (including flu shots and di trip and Jetta doctor's visit, school, work and more) we get to Friday where I biked with Jetta on a mommy-daughter date to Station Park. We enjoyed sushi and a cupcake that "tasted like a cookie!" said Jetta. We also stopped at Charming Charlie and It'sugar (a candy store). It was delightful.

The weekend fun was just get started as that night we went to the school carnival. Robert, Alaina, and Matthew joined us, and the kids loved doing the fish pond, the cupcake walk, and especially the bounce houses. I've never seen Matthew's look of pure joy as he bounced along with the big kids. We got pizza and slushies and just let the cousins play and play.

Speaking of play, Savanna came over and the kids biked to get Steven and Jared. Even though it was only a few hours, the kids love playing pretend and minecraft, and park games and biking together. So much fun, that i forgot to take photos.

We also snuck in a date or two. One to see Pacific Rim at the Kaysville Theater. Then biking to to get bike tires at Station Park and a dinner date to Dickeys. So much fun.

We also tried Frightmares, biking over as a family. The kids loved the candy walks and talking to the costumed characters while riding some of their favorite rides. It was a lot of fun.
