So about three years ago, Rob started wondering when we could move farther south to get closer to his work. It wasn't the commute itself (he could get a lot done) it was the time he was gone. He was missing the kids. So I kept saying the economy wasn't great to sell our house, but as it got better and interest rates went down so we started slowly looking. And then we put our house up for sale in May, got an offer in June and sold July 9. Moved in with my parents (kind of, we had a lot of trips in July, so technically we weren't really there until August) and found a really nice house in Farmington in the first of August. We asked for a three-week closing so that we could get the kids into school on time, and got it, closing on August 23. We used movers this time (and loved it!) to get our stuff from the North Ogden storage place to our house in Farmington (see the throwing of the bags line photo below). Then spent the first weekend in our house completely moving and unpacking, pausing now and again to say hi to the nice neighbors who introduced themselves.
It took a week and a little bit, but with some help from KSL and a few other good deals at the DI, Gordmans, and Downeast, we got the furniture pieces we were missing and settled in. It turned out pretty nice, if I do say so myself. We have some little things to do here and there (like trim back the massive bushes surrounding the house) but for the most part, it is feeling like home.

You look so settled in. It is such a relief to be there and have so much done.
