Scott's field trip to the park |
Then Friday was the annual Fathers/Sons campout. Scott was excited about it for like a month. And even with the rain, it didn't disappoint. He had so much fun hiking, eating yummy foods, being with his dad, and throwing things into the fire (in that order, from what I understand).
At home we got a pizza and found the secret North Ogden park that I've been meaning to rediscover while we've lived here for the past 5.5 years. It's called Oaklawn, for those who are local. It's a fun explorable park. The girls and Maya loved it. Then Sara set up a Minecraft-a-thon where they all played the same game on their different kindles and discovered her secrets and each other. This while we watched Cirque de Soilel and ate a pan of rice crispie treats, which they also enjoyed.
We all came back together on Saturday and took the opportunity to watch first the first rebooted Star Trek and then went out to see the second. Both were really, really good. And I saw Beverly Crusher, bonus!
