Last half of September

Pirettes of Penzance with Neena twice! (Three times for Rob): This is one of my favorite community theater productions I've ever seen, The Pirettes of Penzance is so delightful and such a riot. It helps that Neena Roberts Warburton is THE Pirate Queen! Hoorah for the Pirate Queen! It's hard not to just watch her in all her scenes but the rest of the cast is also so much fun. It's Robin Jensen's favorite musical and seeing it gender swapped adds to the satire and plays so whimsically. Anyone who can, should see it in Spanish Fork in the next few weeks. "With Cat Like Tread....”

We also started Great British Bake Off and I enjoyed a night to support (and be intellectually stimulated) by Ben Park. I also was at UVU a weekend after the Dialogue 60th to do the Restore. It was nice to see Scott.

Dialogue 60th Annivesary Weekend

Months of planning came together for a wonderful weekend of all things Dialogue. As I said on Facebook: With so many wonderful people preparing and then coming together, the 60th Anniversary Dialogue Weekend was a rousing success! I'm so grateful for everyone who helped and also loved seeing and visiting with friends old and new! Some of my kids came to help at the dinner and I'm also grateful that they did and could see me enjoy such a magnificent evening celebrating all things Dialogue. Onto the next celebration!

Jennetta's 16th Birthday Spectacular

Birthday Eve Morning:
Jennetta's Sweet Sixteen Fairy Brunch on her birthday eve: Jetta's favorite party was her 7th fairy party and thus chose to have her sweet sixteen fairy themed. I had too much fun making a fairy grotto in our side yard and all her friends, even the guys, were all great sports dressing in fairy wings and glitter makeup to celebrate my beautiful girl. They walked the fairy path, made fairy crowns, ate fairy crepes and sweet treats and, when it got hot, went to the air conditioned barn to play games together. It was a delightful morning, made more so by a cousin who rode the train an hour+ to get there and an Idaho best friend who made the 4-hour journey. Both had attended the 7th year party and now the 16th. So full circle moments. A lot of love and fun to make it all very magical.

Birthday Eve Evening:

Jennetta's birthday weekend is coinciding with homecoming, and she's having a ball, but also as an sbo, doing so much work getting the dance ready and then cleaned up. But she enjoyed her date with her friend and friends in the group.

Birthday Morning:

16 years ago I made a promise to myself in San Fran when I saw a billboard with a Jetta on it that this would happen even if it's a little beater that only lasts a week. She was pretty excited to wake up to it.

Birthday Afternoon and Evening:

Jennetta's birthday weekend ended with a requested sibling picnic and photoshoot at the park. They all gamely dressed like fairies and had so much frolicking and feasting. It was fun to just watch them be together. And with all of us collectively sharing the camera, we caught some magical moments. Then a lovely evening with the family, eating cake and sharing in the rest of her presents.
