End of Summer Treasure Hunt and Scott's Experimental Plays

My horrible rhymes are back with the 2026 End-of-summer-treasure hunt. But it was delightful. Also we may be going on an adventure this weekend, but spending the morning with the family we created was a delightful way to spend our 27th Anniversary.

It's time to go back in time,
Doing things we did in Ogden for fun.
So first is some breakfast, egg croissants and cinnamon rolls
The end of summer treasure hunt has begun!
Remember the fire truck?
Or the milking cow?
How about the giant tree?
It's the treehouse museum now!
When you were little
You loved stuffies at the di
So you each get 10 dollars there
For treasures, buh bye.
I hope you hungry
And plan to laugh aye
You used to love this...
Pizza pie Cafe
The kids were annoyed with my last rhyme and it's mistakes so Cecily wrote this:
I hope you're hungry
And plan to laugh, eh?
You used to love this...
Pizza Pie Cafe!
And Jennetta wrote this:
I hope you're hungry
And plan to laugh, ay?
You used to love this...
Pizza Pie Cafe!!!
And Marri wrote this:
I hope you're hungry
And plan to laugh today
You used to love this...
Pizza pie Cafe
And then Rob wrote this while we were all talking and laughing and remembering our time in North Ogden:
I'm 27 years full
With my lovely bae
I still love my family
At Pizza pie Cafe

For the first part of August, Scott rehearsed multiple original plays with Play Fest in the Park. They very conveniently chose to do one of the performances at the park across the street so the night before we went to Japan we enjoyed a night of watching Scott act amazingly as a lovesick jock who is funny and then actually gets sick and dies, and the Hero of the play I need a hero. What a fun last thing for him to do before heading back to UVU.

Also, while we were gone, the backpack fairy came and Jetta went back to school as the sophomore class president:

July Family Reunions

After getting back from Iceland, we turned around and a few days later started the reunions: first Jensen at Early Park. Marri and Sophie went Friday night and since Jetta didn't get back from Disney until Friday, we went Saturday morning. Only Cecily slept over. The kids had fun getting to know better some of their littler cousins. Then she Scott and Jetta went back home and we headed to Bear Lake to plan for the Bitner reunion.

Lots of fun at the reunion. Ash and Chris ended up not getting into their condo the first night, so we got extra guests! We loved playing games. Then the reunion really got going as everyone but Sara got up. Lots of beach time, a few disc golf games (played pig style) and a few new things like pickleball tournements and chalk art. Plus all the games and visiting. We also loved the fungulator and the dinner although it was sad for the first time, Grandma wasn't there. We made it to the buoy a few times and enjoyed canoeing across the lake.
