Awesomely busy March week

This week was jam packed. Monday night we biked over to drop off some FHE treats to the boys for FHE. Sophie ran into Marri's bike, so it was a bit exciting to get home but it was fun to see them for a bit and talk about how Spencer was doing, which was better, thank goodness. And I liked how Jetta took photos from the bike trailer, I'm not just proud of my bum... :)

Then Tuesday Nate came over and we biked over to Station Park for one of the best dinners I've ever had. We picked all the right sushi at Sushi Monster and talked and laughed. Then finished with a bit of frozen yogurt, biking home, and opened my new Dominion expansion, which was so much fun, even though I way lost. Sigh.

Wednesday I took Sophie skiing. It had rained the day before, thus snowed in the mountains and I knew the Powder at Powder would be so good. And it was so good. We got up early and carted our ski stuff to the bus, then frontrunner, then ski bus, arriving at 9 a.m. They had a $42 anniversary special and even though I thought it might have a lot of people due to the deal and the powder, it actually wasn't too busy at all. So I got all three of my faves: beautiful day, good snow, and times when I felt like I had the mountain to myself...well ourselves. Sophie and I talked a lot and skied even more. She fell quite a few times, but got up like a pro. My favorite parts were skiing in the straight powder, adventuring through crazy powder, taking off our skies to jump in the powder, and taking the tow line, which Sophie did like a pro the first time and then fell the second time, but held on for deal life for most of the way up. It was hilarious and such a Sophie thing to do. We also got yummy sweet potato fries and cheesy bread at the train station. It was all in all a wonderful ski day with my delightful daughter.

While I was gone with Sophie, Rob took Jetta on a daddy-daughter date. They got hamburgers and biked around. She had a lot of fun and said "Don't go on dates with Mommy because then I want to go on dates with you." Well too bad, we went on date Saturday morning:

Rob and I did a shopping date on Saturday morning and got the best navajo taco for lunch, with sushi (not as good as Tuesday sushi and frozen yogurt!
Thursday was actually quite busy with two well child checks for Marri and Cecily and Marri's ortho, plus grocery shopping and library. But no pictures, so I guess it didn't happen. :) Friday started our fun with the boys. Steven, Jared and Isaac biked over after school and they played and played. Mar came with John for dinner. Funny story about it, Sue brought us dinner to go with, which is kind of opposite of what was supposed to happen, but she assured me that it was because all the people in her ward have more that taken care of them and they need to stay on top of all the meals. Still, it made me giggle. It was nice to see them. They headed out after that, but Saturday they headed back to play with Savanna and Kate came over as well. They played hard and we played Seasons and Dominion. So fun. Sunday we enjoyed one more excursion with Mar and the boys when they came over to take us on a geo caching adventure. I'm not kidding, we found four, two big and two small, in just the few blocks around our house. It was a bit weird to find these boxes of things so close and so hidden. And cool. The kids, especially Sophie, loved it. We can't wait to find some more. Then we finished the afternoon with pot pie and applesauce for dinner and make-your-own monster cookies. And they were monster. Even John couldn't eat all of his. Oh, and Jared and Cecily got ahold of the video camera and decided to spy on their sisters and brother:

Finally we opened our birthday presents from Jake and Kim. Look at what we got! Yay!
