Anniversary week

We spent the week of our 14th anniversary, sadly, mostly apart. Monday Rob headed to work and we enjoyed a night of South Deweyville fun, with a neighborhood bbq for fhe. It was lovely with such good food.
Then Tuesday Grandpa got out the horses for some horsebackriding lessons, and the kids loved it. Marri, Sophie, Cecily, and Scott all rode by themselves, and Jetta rode with me. So fun!

Wednesday was officially our anniversary and luckily, I was able to meet Rob for breakfast in Farmington while Marri had Jr. High orientation. We enjoyed a crazy meal of sushi, gelato, donut, milk, and tirimsu. It was actually quite nice. Thursday the kids planned a sweet little family date for when Rob came home. We began with a lovely dinner of lasagna, salad, and corn we picked, shucked, and cooked. Then Marri sent us on a darling treasure hunt with the following clues:
Clue number one is lots of fun
Where do we like to jump in the sun?
But before you figure it out and run,
You must answer a question if you want to be done.
"Where did you first meet?"

Clue number two has grandma's favorite color: BLUE!
Grandpa likes to play solitaire their! So hurry! you must go too!
But wait, not yet, you haven't got a clue,
So follow the paper until you get to a room that's blue.
"What was your first date?"

Clue number three is not in a tree,
But rather a place that mother would be.
A chair that does rock and fathers favorite color, see?
"(Grandpa requested this one) Who is your favorite father in law?"

Clue number four is a chore
That adults all adore.
But then in their bed they do snore.
"(Grandma requested this one.) Who is your favorite mother in law?

Clue number five is something alive.
She is afraid of a beehive.
"What is both of your phobias? Father you answer for mother, Mother you answer for  father."

Clue number six is just a trick.
Its is something you wouldn't predict.
Ladies and gentlemen, time for the show! Check the gum stick,
In mother's purse! You will be in quite a fix!
"What was the first play you watched with each other? (That you can remember.)"

Clue number seven is hard to rhyme with
But I will, don't you worry! Just like in the fifth.
We really love our grandparents, and that's not a myth.
"What kind of wedding traditions did you do in your wedding?"

Clue number eight isn't just bait.
Don't ask why I said that, it's just extra weight.
There is a cereal that says that if you eat it, you deflate,
you get smaller you loose lots of weight.
Cheerio! I think thats a good bye, don't ask me! Well, a clue awaits!
"What was the first meal you had in a house of your own?"

Clue number nine is very divine.
So come, lets get going! We must go and dine!
No just kidding. We first must find the clue in the vine.
And so run to the plant that will never die, at least in Sara's mind.
"What was the first place you ever lived in together?"

Clue number ten, Its almost the end,
Where is my mom's favorite room? Where we sleep in a bed.
I will give you a hint, it's upstairs where sara's clothes are kept safe. It's her friend!
Did I ever tell you how I liked clue number TWO? I like it, It really does blend.
"Do you like candy?"
Cute, eh?  Then off to Crystal Springs for a family swim, followed by Sophie-decorated cake and ice cream. A wonderful night, all told. Friday morning, I had a doctor's appointment with my orthopedic uncle to see about my knee, which does have arthritis and I have to wear a brace, and Rob and I snuck in another date to Golden Spike Burger, it was great! We snuck in one more date to breakfast over the weekend to a lovely little place. Overall, we ended up taking more anniversary dates then we might have on a normal year!

Here are a few of my favorite photos of the week:
